The Idaho Foodbank
Mission: Our mission is to help feed, educate and advocate for Idaho’s hungry through collaborative partnerships to develop efficient solutions that strengthen individuals, families and communities.
The IFB is an independent, donor-supported, non-profit established in 1984 and is the largest distributor of free food assistance in Idaho. More than 135 million pounds of food has been distributed through 219 community-based partners. Direct service programs are also provided that promote healthy families and communities.
In October 2015 the Boise location was audited as required through partnership with Feed America. The site achieved 925 out of 1000 points. The Lewiston and Pocatello locations will be audited in 2016.
The IFB has achieved its' 6th consecutive four-star rating. A distinction only 3% of the charities have received indicating it outperforms most other charities in America.
